I purchased these for my very skinny, just-turned 3 year old. They fit fairly well - still a little roomy, but what isn't on him (he's about 25 pounds). They are well-made and easy to get on and off. Very soft. Enough padding down the middle to stop small leaks, but certainly not enough to soak up a full bladder of tinkle, which is the point. I want him to feel the wet. He's had two full-scale accidents in these, but that's it. He knows he doesn't like that feel, so now he tells me when he needs to use the potty. I would definitely recommend cotton training pants over those paper diaper pull-up things. FYI, I also purchased a set of training pants from "Luvable Friends," as they had good reviews, but went back to the Gerbers. The others are very baggy and not well-constructed. You can hardly tell the front from the back in them, which is a bummer since I had to cut out the super-stiff tags in them, so now I can't hardly tell whether I am putting them on correctly.

Gerber Brand Training Pant (in vinyl bag)Product Description: These no-nonsense training pants are absorbent enough for little leaks but still allow your child to feel wetness -- an important step in potty training. The center panel is constructed from two layers of 100% cotton with an interior layer of cotton-poly for additional absorbency. The side panels are soft elastic with wide ribbed leg bands to hug thighs comfortably. Consider using them with Gerber's vinyl Waterproof Trainers to keep clothing (and furniture) dry.
