Review of Training Pants - Waterproof - 39 - 44 Pounds

I bought several of these to use as a cloth substitute for "Pull Ups" at night for a potty trained child who still wets at night.

These things were a waste of money. They have almost zero absorbancy capability and they leak like crazy. My child was soaked completely through both nights we tried them.

I have sort of compromised and started using these as a diaper cover over cloth diapers for this child at night [they are too large for regular diaper covers], but this is very bulky and these things don't even work very well as diaper covers - they still leak pretty badly.

I really wish I'd saved my money and purchased something else.I encourage you to do that.:)

Review of Safety 1st Comfy Cushy 3 in 1 Potty

I bought this potty seat thinking it was a really good deal for the price and it is if you have a girl.I dont, I have a boy .First of all the cup is not tall enough to guard the urine from spraying all over, second the seat is too small for them to sit comfortably for very long.the only thing I think is good is the clean up and the idea the kids can use the potty for a stool too.But all in all this product was a disappoinment for me.Its not at all what I had hoped for.

Review of Precious Ones Secure-Adjust Soft Seat Trainer

This seat is comfortable, great fit for small bottoms, adjusts to fit securely on the toilet, the price is great ... what could be better?

Well, for one thing, the soft seat comes off the adjustable base for cleaning. That should be a good thing, but the problem is there is a seam where the soft seat meets the base. That seam runs around the *inside* of the toilet seat. With boys, the pee gets through the seam and pools under the cushy seat bottom. When you remove the seat for storage or cleaning or guests, you might have a drippy mess, and the seat must to be taken apart to be cleaned after every little boy trip to the bathroom or any leftover pee will be stuck there and stink.

For truly sanitary, easy cleaning, the seam should be *sealed* and the seat should not come apart.

Review of Munchkin Deluxe Potty Seat - Colors May Vary

I feel so bad that this seat has such a low ranking. It is perfect for my girl. I do understand why people with boys may have issues, but if you have a girl it is just wonderful. I have a very cheap one that is designed similarly but this one is so much better. It has a great weight to it so it's not flimsy, and it fits my girls bum so nicely, and the cushion is very firm yet soft. The handles make is so easy for her to just climb up on the stool, sit and pull herself back.
My friend has the pricey Bjorn and while that is nice, I saved $15 on something that works just as well.

Review of Potty Training Urinal for Boys

I looked at the other version of a toddler urinal but was concerned about the "drawer" on it where the pee goes.I know my son would be unable to leave the drawer of pee alone.....so I found this one and it is great!

Good things:
1.We have oblong tall potties in our house so everytime he tried to get up on a stool with his pants around his ankles he almost fell down or into the potty. Now he just goes up to it, drops trousers, and goes!

2.He shares a bathroom with our daughter, so everytime she went to the bathroom, of course he had to go.Now they can both go at the same time!

3.I can tell if he is going enough (versus holding it) by looking in it.

4.The guys at the company were very nice and answered all the questions I had about it.

5.The wall hanger alows us to hang it at the right level for our son!

The only bad thing is you have to empty it all day long.If you forget, it really stinks!

Review of 3-in-1 Potty Chair

I bought this potty at the store.I was able to take it out of the box to confirm that yes, it looked easy to clean.

My nieces use this brand of potty. It works great for girls. It is easy to clean.

Not for BOYS.Here's why . . .
1.The bowl sits back to far.My son is tall and I always had to tell him to sit back farther.

2.The guard is too short.Fortunately the potty was sitting in an unused shower stall.Clean up was easy, but not a great way to train a young child.

3.A oval shaped bowl would be better.

For those reasons, I can't even use the top on the big toilet.

Review of Totseat

I bought this for my 11 month old son for our various holidays on the road, at the cottage and general eating out. It is extremely portable and fits in your purse, no problem. I can even easily get the seat folded back into the little carry-bag it came with. It's simple to use, and adjustable for different seats. I used it at a firends house for dinner with no hassel. I even used it on a plastic chair at an outdoor event, where there were no highchairs available. Baby likes sitting in it, it's pretty secure and makes it easy to dine at a table without causing a fuss. My one problem is that it sits baby too low for table...I'm not sure what you are supposed to do about that. Also, many restaurants we go to have booths, so this seat can't be used in that way. It would be good if it also doubled as a high-chair cover.

Review of Xpress Trainer Pro-All In One-Real Simple Potty Training Elongated Family Toilet Seat

This is a great product, but there are some details missing from the description.Let me explain.

When the product arrived, I was nervous about the installation as I do not consider myself a handy person. It installs a bit differently that the regular toilet seat that I was replacing. It took two attempts, but I was able to install it properly without the need for tools. The directions are fairly clear--definitely more clear than any of my daughters' toys that I've had to assemble!

The way that this seat is installed, it allows for easy removal (popping the seat off the bolts) for a thorough cleaning.I don't imagine that I'll have to use this feature too often, but with little ones and little messes, it is a great feature.

The child seat is a perfect size for my small 3 year old. She's been poty trained for a while, but has never been able to potty independently until now. It's secure enough for her to climb up on.

The child seat is NOT a toddler sized seat, so I imagine that my girls won't be outgrowing it for years to come.

The best feature of all is that the adult seat and lid have a no-slam feature. My three year old tested it, and no matter how hard she tried, it wouldn't slam shut!

My husband likes that all components remain in the upright position, as well.

Well, I think that covers everything. My family likes this seat so much, that we've ordered another for the powder room.

Review of Xpress Trainer Pro-All In One-Real Simple Potty Training Round/Standard Family Toilet Seat

If you have a child about to be potty-trained, know that for the next seven years, your child will most likely need a smaller seat than you do. After five years of using a plastic-covered foam potty seat, having to place it and remove it EVERY SINGLE TIME, I finally have found the best invention in the world. This is the nicest potty seat I've ever seen, child or adult. Its design will actually give your toilet a facelift. Coming out of the box I was worried about its strength, but it is super sturdy- no creaking when you sit. The seat is made of a strong, easy to clean plastic, not MDF or wood- both which hold stains and scents as much as a foam seat does. The lid and both seats are slow closing so you will have no loud bangs in the middle of the night. The edges of the seats are contoured, not sharp, so there's no pressure marks on your bottom. As if that's not enough, the way the seat is attached to the potty is so simple (due to a special design), you can remove it in THREE SECONDS for a complete cleaning. This is by far the best product I've ever had in my "mother's bag of tricks". I now own two.(One point of information that I've noticed from other parents when moving from a foam seat to a "real" one. Children don't like it. Child potty rings are tall and squishy. A real seat slopes down in the middle and doesn't give. It will take any child a few times to get use to the feel of a real seat. But don't give up. Encourage your child, stay with them, show them they're o.k., that they won't fall in.You will reap the benefits- no more seats that "trap" urine making your house smell, no more looking for a place to put that nasty seat when they're finished.) Truly a blessing.

Review of Fisher-Price Fun To Learn Potty

This seat is definitely cute and lots of fun! However, it seems to be a little too much fun as my son has completely missed the purpose because of all of the distractions!

Reasons I do not recommend this product:
1) LOUD, unadjustable music

2) Sensor for when your child uses the potty is much too sensitive; if your child reaches down the sensor blares music telling the child they used the potty

3) The music that blares "You did it" then tells the child to get toilet paper...Then the toilet paper tells the child to flush...Good concept, but just way too much when the child didn't go in the first place!

4) Unlike some other urine guards, this one is a small hard plastic piece; my son had a hard time sitting down into a position without catching himself on it and it hurt!

5) Urine guard is too easy to remove; another fun distraction

6) At 22 mos, my son seems almost too big for this potty. He has always been tall for his age, but 22 mos is on the early end of the potty-training spectrum!

We have had more success with a $[...] soft potty seat that goes on top of the regular toilet. The Fisher Price Fun to Learn potty has just been an expensive toy for us.

Review of Disposable Travel Potty Chair - 3 Pack

I purchased these potties for traveling with my 2 year old.We used one for the first time this past weekend. It was great. We were driving and we pulled over and put the potty between the 2 open car doors andhe did his business. He is about 33lbs and the potty held him fine. He does his business quickly, so if he took a long time I am not sure this potty would be very comfortable, but is was great for him.I would recommend carrying some zip locks or garbage bags to put the potty in once used, if you are not going to be close to a trash can.I am writing this review as I am about to order more. I plan to use them in the airport if we have the need. I think they should have these potties for sale in airport bathrooms!

Review of PODS Potty Trainer for Boys and Girls - Case Pack

These are not maxipads... Well, okay, they perform more or less the same function, and are designed with elastic down the sides to capture a greater volume of liquid as is released when a child urinates.I have used these with both my now fully potty trained 3 yr old girl and my mostly potty trained 23-month old boy. They are amazing. Both kids wanted to stop using diapers before they were ready.PODS gave them a discrete way of feel self-assured on a shopping trip or at the park, and still let them feel in control of their bodies.I ran out and thought maybe we were done with them but my son actually wants another box. When we're through that one, I bet we're done with diapers forever!!

Review of Spill Proof Travel Potty Chair

This little potty is great! It is very sturdy and the opening is plenty big so you don't have to worry about your child out growing it (unlike the fold out travel versions from Fisher Price and Potette). Also, no liner bags to worry about and with the liquid flowing to the bottom, you don't even see it if you have to go a couple of times before you empty it.It's small and portable, but comfy and big enough.I even used it myself once in the car with a "pregnancy pee" emergency!

Review of Peter Potty Toddler Urinal

I saw this on TV and thought it was so funny. And really different. After struggling to train my first little boy (he didn't get trained until almost 3.5), I decided to try this for his little brother. He is 2 and 2 months. He LOVES IT!I couldn't believe how excited he was when he saw it.I thought I would have to show him how to use it, but I just helped him pull down his pants and he took it from there. He really went - right away!It has been a couple weeks and I totally love this thing. So does my son.He pees in it all of the time. And, he makes less mess in the bathroom using this than his older brother does when HE goes.Really really great idea.

Review of Safety 1st Little Men Working Potty

My son loved this potty and the fact that it made truck noises when he peed in it.This was very encouraging to him and he potty trained quickly. However, I gave it only two stars because the orange bucket that catches the pee has a little sensor in the bottom which activates the noises. This is made of some very base metal and after less than three months of use (despite the fact that I cleaned it out after every use) the pee caused this sensor to corrode enough that it got a hole in it and what is the point of a bucket with a hole in it???Good luck!!

** Since posting the above, I telephoned Safety 1st and they mailed me a new orange bucket free of charge. They did this immediately without asking questions!!So at least the service was great!!

And just a comment about what the reviewer below said, Yes, I also had trouble with the lid thingy that sits on top of the seat.In the end, I just popped it off completely leaving only the yellow bit, the white bit and the orange bucket.I sat it in a big plastic tote in the playroom and my 2 year old son climbs in and out when he needs to go potty. He is almost completely potty-trained thanks to this potty, it really has been great - if you can get the makers to send you another replacement bucket that is!!

Review of Gerber Brand Training Pant (in vinyl bag)

I purchased these for my very skinny, just-turned 3 year old. They fit fairly well - still a little roomy, but what isn't on him (he's about 25 pounds). They are well-made and easy to get on and off. Very soft. Enough padding down the middle to stop small leaks, but certainly not enough to soak up a full bladder of tinkle, which is the point. I want him to feel the wet. He's had two full-scale accidents in these, but that's it. He knows he doesn't like that feel, so now he tells me when he needs to use the potty. I would definitely recommend cotton training pants over those paper diaper pull-up things. FYI, I also purchased a set of training pants from "Luvable Friends," as they had good reviews, but went back to the Gerbers. The others are very baggy and not well-constructed. You can hardly tell the front from the back in them, which is a bummer since I had to cut out the super-stiff tags in them, so now I can't hardly tell whether I am putting them on correctly.

Review of Precious Ones 4-in-1 Potty, Secure-Adjust Trainer, Storage Step Stool and PottEase Liners

We needed to get a stand alone trainer for our daughter.Searching Amazon, came across this unit and its 5star review, plus I like the fact it proudly displayed "Made in the USA" in its writeup. This unit also converted to an adult seat trainer, so for the price it was a great deal.Aside from my daughter loving her "own potty", there are two things that stand out that I love.1.The securing bracket for when the trainer is moved to the adult seat. The trainer doesn't move.Climbing on and off the seat, it just doesn't move.So there is no risk of it slipping. It is easily removed by an adult and snaps back onto the adult seat without having to be readjusted (Set it and forget it).2.The larger opening of the hole on the trainer. It is at least an inch wider/longer than a trainer we had previous bought for our son several years back.Wider opening equals a better chance everything gets to where it should.
There are some other cool features, the liners saves a messy cleanup and the stand alone unit converting to a stool is always usefull. All said and done, you will not regret purchasing this product.

Review of PRIMO Freedom Trainer (Toilet Trainer) (White)

It's not just the most icredible piece of junk I ever seen, it is the most DANGEROUS piece of junk I ever seen on the market for kids.
The plastic is very thin, very weak and bends every each way. My daughter weighs 35 pounds and the step almost collapsed under her weight. Is SLIDES off the toilet bowl and the seat itself also bends down under the child's weight, which really frightened my girl.
There's no way a child should use it without an adult actually lifting it and putting it on the seat.

I feel soooo stupid to have bought it(((

Review of Safety 1st Potty 'N Step Stool

I got this potty for my baby shower.I registered for it because it was Safety first and most of their products are excellent.I set it out to introduce it to my son( he was just beginning to show interest not ready to actually start yet).We never actually used it since the top of the seat and I mean the entire top kept falling off even with nobody sitting on it.Even if you just moved the potty it would fall apart.
Instead we bought a plain potty seat by Graco and it is excellent!!

Review of Safety 1St Smart Rewards Potty

This is a fantastic potty. My son quickly took to this new potty. At first I used it without the music (to underscore the functionality versus its toy attributes), but he really enjoyed the tunesfrom the moment we switched it on.

PROS
--The reward system is FABULOUS
--The tune is catchy, educational and reinforcing
--The music does turn off after awhile (thankfully)
--Kids LOVE the flushing, the music, the lights, the stickers, the chart
--The size is good (my 2.5 year-old is tall for his age and some potties were too short)
--He liked the seat that went up and down like our adult toilet.
--Very easy to clean up
--My son's favorite potty

CONS
--For some, the music may be loud, though you can lower the volume by putting a piece of packing tape over the rear speaker.Sounds tends to echo in bathrooms, so this may not be as much of an issue if you have carpeting.
--The removable splash guard can get knocked off easily
--Sometimes the music went a little kerflooey...playing the wrong music (Yea! You went, instead of the music when you first sit down.).Though I have wondered whether this just meant our batteries were wearing down, not sure about that yet.

Overall, I highly recommended this potty. In fact some of my son's therapists were delighted when they saw this potty and began recommending it to other clients, almost immediately.

Review of Summer 3 Stage Potty Trainer - White/ Blue

Ok, so take what I say with a pinch of salt since my son has not used it and I just got it. That is why I am going to return it.
The pros: It looks ok, my son was definitely interested in using it, it is not expensive and the seat is well cushioned.
The cons: The seat, which in theory adapts to any toilet for latter use is tiny. It can go in the big toilet bowl, so it will NOT work for latter use in a regular toilet seat. The hole in the potty seat is tiny and the green pee guard ends up being too close to the penis so when my son was trying to seat he hurt himself with the green guard (that is why it was not used). I could teach him to hold his penis down and to seat carefully to avoid further pain, but (in my opinion) if potty training is hard work unto itself having this potty is just going to make it harder. If you don't install the green guard thing pee can go everywhere, especially under the seat. This drives me to the last inconvenience I see, the bowl in the potty. The bowl in the potty to catch the pee is shaped like a pitcher. The potty frame has two holes at the front to get the pitcher out and empty it. It is a pincer grip to get the `handle' of the pitcher. However, if pee has gone under the seat then the pee can leak through those holes and into the potty frame... not the pitcher shaped bowl that is supposed to catch the pee. If that happens, it will be hard to clean the whole thing. If the potty frame did not have the holes and had just handles to pull the pitcher out then it would be better.
I think the design is not the best for boys. Though it can work for girls, since there is no pee guard issue... Maybe sticking to something with a simpler design is best for me and my son...
I got this one at Target. I got it there because I wanted to 'see' the potty and buy a good one.... Murphy's law worked for me this time! The pictures in the box don't show all the components or the flaws this potty has. Target should have open pieces for us to see what we are getting. Oh, well. I hope this helps you. :)

Review of Simple Potty, Blue

This is by far the best potty seat our family has ever owned.I love it and more importantly my son loves it. Here's what I love:
1.Easy to clean-one molded smooth piece of plastic. No extra pieces or places for skin
to get caught
2.Sturdy-my 30 lb son had to try to jump off it and it held steady.
43 lb daughter demonstrated for my son and said it felt comfortable to sit on.It also held her weight fine.
3.Low to the ground. My son can walk over it and sit down safely. His knees stick up a little, but he can plant his feet on the ground and looks comfortable.
4.Inexpensive-I purchased 2, one for up and one for down.Light enough to throw in the car for trips too.
5.SUPER DUPER SPLASH GUARD-The front is really high and it works really well. The second time my son used the seat he was turned around facing the back.No splash, no mess.Works great either way.

Wasn't happy with this little potty. The plastic is cheap. I wouldn't want to sit on it and either did my daughter. Just seems very uncomfortable. There are better choices out there so save your money don't buy this one. Way over priced.

Review of Baby Bjorn® Large Potty Chair White

I purchased this seat after my daughter did not show an interest in inserts.I liked it because of it's simple design, easily removed basin, and it appeared to be easy to clean. However, I was not happy with this purchase.First, since the splash guard is not removable, that makes it uncomfortable for use with girls. Then, as any Mom who is potty training knows, you have the little one sitting on the seat for quite some time.Since this seat is so small and hard, it made it very uncomfortable for her and therefore she did not want to use it.Finally, the fact that the basin is easily removable, make that TOO easily removable. My dauther would yank it out in a split second and cause a huge mess. However, I think this could make a great seat to carry in your car for emergencies.I put a plastic bag around the basin, put the basin in the seat and it's neat and great for use when stuck in traffic, "I HAVE TO GO NOW!" or when the public restroom is NOT something you'd like your child to use.

Review of Travel Potty

We purchased this product based on reviews of those who had already purchased the potty. We do not feel comfortable taking our son (28 months) to public restrooms for sanitary reasons. We also knew we could not let him potty in his pullups considering he is still being potty trained. I must say, the potty itself is great. It had our son's interest before we took it out of the box. I think what made him not intimated in the potty are the colors and the two compartments. Within ten minutes of taking it out and cleaning it, he wanted to sit...and the first time was a success!! He has used it at least thirty times and is now at the point where he tries to take out the dirty bag and replace it with a clean bag. We definitely would not advise of this because of the potential mess (see cons). To sum it up, pros: portable, lighweight, adequate storage for underwear, baby wipes, and extra storage bags. We can fit about six-eight pullups, fifteen bags, and half a pack of baby wipes in both compartments with additional space left. For those that are wondering about the bags, we just buy the generic brand of gallon bags and they work just fine. Cons: the circumference of the potty seat is too small (for a boy). Our son is very, very tall for his age (over three feet tall), but he is petite. Although his legs are very long, he does just fine sitting on it, despite some of the reviews we read. There is a weak attempt at including a "shield" so that the boys can aim downward, but it is just that...an attempt. We have had to teach our son to hold his weewee down while he peepees. :-) Overall, we do and have already recommended this product to family and friends.

Review of Graco Soft Seat Potty Trainer

This was an excellent potty seat for my daughter and now my son is using it as well.We tried a couple of other potty seats that did not have a cushioned seat and the holes were just way too small. My son and daughter both refused to sit on the others. And I agree that this one is harder to keep clean because you have to remove the cushion from the handles to get all that pee that gets under the cushion, but it was still the only potty seat that they would sit on.Plus the opening is just so much bigger than any other potty seats I looked at. And I just ordered a replacement cushion from Graco becuase we are just starting potty training my son and with all the use from my daughter, the cushion no longer snaps into place on the handles.I have never used it as a stepstool, so I can't comment on that aspect of this potty chair

Review of Baby Bjorn® Large Potty Chair Blue

We've had several potty chairs and I'd say I like this one best. It has a high back and armrests, making it comfortable for my daughter to sit. There aren't a whole lot of cracks and crevices, which makes it easy to clean. The chair is sturdy and doesn't tip over. It is larger than some of the other chairs, which were a little too small as my daughter grew. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy this chair first.

Review of PRIMO Bunny Potty (Yellow)

This potty is really cute and the handlebars and rolling ball offer a distraction for a child who needs to sit there and (hopefully) go potty.Unfortunately, my son (who is 22 months) is unable to use it because it is so small. He is a little big for his age, but this seat seems to be made for a child who is very petite. When he sits on it, his knees go all the way up to the handlebars and bump on them.(it looks as if an adult is sitting on a tricycle)Plus, the actual part the child is supposed to go to the bathroom in is not very deep and so tiny that I think if my son was able to fit on the seat and go in it, once he went it would fill up the seat and wind up getting all over his rear! So, while this is a cute potty I would not recommend it unless your child is extremely petite.

Review of Safety 1St Comfy Cushy 3-in-1 Potty

We bought this seat after our other Safety 1st seat had us completely fed up. It was difficult to clean and definitely not good for larger kids or boys. I think Safety 1st has redeemed themselves with this seat.

The removable seat is REALLY cushy - you can pick it up and bend it all over the place without damaging it. Rather than having a seperate shield for little boys, you simply flip the cushy seat to take advantage of the built-in cushy shield.

The potty is incredibly easy to clean...you just remove the blue cushy seat, dump the contents in the toilet, and give it a quick rinse. The inside of the potty is smooth and has soft curves, unlike other potties that are full of 90 degree angles and tiny nooks and crannies that are difficult to clean.

Unlike some similar potties, the handles on this seat can attach to the base so it is easy to transport if needed. The handles are also removable for easy cleaning.

Review of Safety 1st Jack Potty

I bought this for my son to use.He still sits to pee and likes to lean forward to aim. Most other little potties have arm rests that block his legs so this potty is perfect for him. (That is the reason I bought this potty.)It is easy for him to take the bowl out to empty by himself. It is fairly easy to clean. The jackpot noises are cute, but sometimes it congratulates him before he does anything. That is really not very important to me.It doesn't affect whether he goes or not.Overall, I am completely satisfied with this potty.
Also - He is almost three and of average size and it fits him fine.

Review of PRIMO 4-In-1 Soft Seat Toilet Trainer and Step Stool White with Pastel Blue Seat

I ordered this potty chair after seeing the others all had some negative aspects. This seat is perfect! My almost 2.5 year old daughter took to it immediately. It's not too small (she's very tall) but not too big (she has a petite bottom). It cleans up easily, and is not so lightweight or small that it becomes a toy for her.The seat part itself comes off to use on a regular toilet, and has handles for the child to steady him/herself.The bowl insert is large and removes easily for cleaning. There are also handles on the base that overlap with the handles on the seat so you can easily pick it up and move it.The lid closes "just like mommy's potty" and becomes a wide flat step stool.Perfect product!

Review of Boon Potty Bench - Green

I bought this potty because reviewers said it fit their taller/bigger/older children best. We were definitely challenged with finding a potty to fit our son who is a big kid for his age, he's not yet 2.5 years. While this potty bench seemed like a good option, he has been attempting to use it and it is extremely difficult to get him positioned just so behind the shield. The shield is too small in height and width, it is a very difficult target for a toddler. We have tried to direct him behind it or get him to point down, but for a new trainer, all of this creates more anxiety than anything else. We are extremely frustrated. The design of this chair is very thoughtful in the way the shield inserts, unfortunately it does not function well.

Review of Fisher-Price Precious Planet Froggy Friend Potty

I purchased this potty chair for my third son. I knew from previous experience that I wanted a simple design with smooth edges and the splash guard built in. I had previously purchased the Baby Bjorn one piece thinking it would be the one. After getting it home I quickly realized it was WAY to small, unless you are potty training your 6 month old, my son is 18 months and 29lbs. I was happy when I found the Fisher Price Froggy Potty. It has the great simple design that I had wanted and the splash guard was built in. The base is nice and wide which makes it stable and has handles on the side for your little one. There is also a handle on the back that makes it easy it pick up in one piece it move for cleaning. The blue bowl lifts out to make cleaning a breeze. My only complaint was that there should be some rubber grips on the bottom so that it will not slide across the floor. I cut out a piece of non slip liner and placed it under the potty, problem solved. I would recommend this potty to friends.

Review of BABYBJÖRN Toilet Trainer

My daughter started with the Baby Bjorn stand alone potty seat - which was great when she was just getting started with the idea of using a potty. She quickly became too tall to use the stand alone potty seat, so I ordered this Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer and it has been fantastic. She quickly learned how to put the seat on the toilet herself and adjust the wheel to make it snug. It was also easy for her to remove and hang on a small butterfly doorknob my husband attached to the side of the sink cabinet. The seat gave her a great sense of independence and allowed her to be comfortable and secure while learning to use the big potty.

It is also great for traveling. I would put it in a zippered canvas tote and carry it with us into rest areas (it really does fit any toilet) - she could sit securely and be protected from unclean surfaces (I would carry a small container of Disinfectant wipes to clean her seat off each time we used it in a public restroom).

I highly recommend this Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer!

Review of BABYBJÖRN Little Potty

My sons are 6.5 months old, and 2 years old. I purchased this potty when my eldest son turned 10 months old.

I wasn't exactly potty training him then, just letting him get used to the apparatus. I could tell he enjoyed it though. He had it on his head, he liked to put bouncy balls in the "pot", and eventually (about a week later) he began to sit on it while anyone was in the bathroom.

I love the design of the little potty. Both of my boys happen to be very small, my oldest is quite thin and tall, while my other son is just tiny. This potty is NOT for larger/older trainers, but it happens that my boys fit the potty just fine. The whole concept is also no where to be found other than in the Little Potty... straddling. Yes, your child "squats" onto the potty, and holds the little handle, a.k.a. the splash guard. The child should be comfortable, and the possition is actually very "good" for "making". There is no where for your child to lean back, but durring those longer time periods, the design of the potty makes it so that the child doesnt become too uncomfortable. I can justify to its comfort because my children like to sit on it to watch television, so it honestly cannot be too bad!

The potty is also completely one piece, and I mean that's all it is. Its lightweight, and even stackable! The wide base means it wont tip over, and its also small enough to fit in anyone's bathroom. When I say small its small, about 4 inches off the ground, and about 8x9 inches! The size has also proven to be very useful while stowed away in the trunk of my Jeep Liberty, we just pull over and let him go (with a plastic bag lining the potty of course!) Along with its small size, and one-piece design, the potty is incredibly easy to clean. I can just rinse it off in the sink/tub, and wipe it off. I would also recomend spraying it with Lysol or something, atleast on occasions.

The potty's also come in variety of colors including... red, ocean, white, sunflower yellow, black, and pink. We happen to own two, my eldest son has a blue one, where we just purchased a red one for my other son (who is completely clueless as of what to make of this thing!) They are also fairly cheap, at around $9 a piece, another surprise from the usually $$$ Baby Bjorn.

As for performance, the Little Potty works for us. The catch pot is tiny, around the size of a large grapefruit, yet my son has never overflowed it, whether that be with urine, or feces. My son started "training" at around 16 months old, and can now dump the contents into the toilet as well, although there have been a few messes on occasions (due to spilling, not due to the potty's design). We also found that if you add "grippers" to the bottom of the potty, it works better. Before the "grippers" the potty could slide across the tiled floor, making a horrific screeching sound as it went... but not any more!

I totally recommend trying it out in the store before your purchase. If that's not possible, have your child sit on it as soon as you get home. I say this because I am positive that there will be negative reviews because the potty is just too small, but if its too small when you purchase it, return it and try another... My friends 98th percentile 3 year old couldn't fit on this potty, and although there was disappointment, she bought him the other baby bjorn stand alone potty (with two parts) and he fits better on that one.

I purchased a potty seat for the toilet, which my son is getting accustomed to now that he's older, but I certainly plan to use the Baby Bjorn Little potty for my next son, who may even become trained earlier! And they will defiantly be around for at least another 2 years, what a great potty!
